Whos used the Mach 5 IXL-18s?

Im planning to buy 3 of them and run them off about 4500w, an AP1500 on each to be specific. I like the specs of them other than that theyre "optimized for large enclosures." Other 18"s ive looked at seem to be fine with 3.5-4cu a piece but these need like 8 from what people say? Im wanting to put them in about 12.5 cubes or so gross. Kinda set on 3 18"s but i might have to do 2. Whats everyones take on these subs?

Large enclosure requirement usually indicates its an efficient design, meaning ti wont take multi-kilowatts to get loud and play low. HIL. If this design approach doesn't suit your needs, chose a different driver. Trying to get it to conform to a different design type (small enclosure, non-efficient) that's popular these days wont yield anything but poor results.

Well, its a trunk car, and i figured id have enough room for 3 18"s seeing what people had put them in on here and such, i figured i could do 4-5 cubes each. I can probably easily get atleast 12 cubes out of it, maybe more but i cant do measurements right now due to the weather. Its not my vehicle and the guy is set on 3 18"s, im just trying to find the perfect ones right now and so far the IXLs are the best bet it seems, i just cant find any straightforward enclosure info on them, all the info is in canadian and shit.

Budget is 250 per driver, must be 18"s. Will have 3-5k worth of power. Box will be upfiring ported, not sure on port direction.

Edit, found some info on another site on the IXLs, for best output they need 12 cubes per driver. **** the IXLs, theyre out of the picture now i guess. Anyone got any more reccomendations

It is a 74 caddillac. I just found a liters to cf converter and figured that out lol. I just didnt feel like it before. 12 cubes is an assload of airspace. All that info you got didnt show up on the site for me though, all it said on mine was 350l.
