who have never upgraded their system?

I change up every 6 months or so as long as i have available funds to do so. I get bored with current setups and like to try new things. Over the past 3 years i haven't really gotten significantly louder but just tried different things.

 

Soon though i hopefully will be a good amount louder....

it's not. And i should have added approximately 3 DB from doubling the cone area. I don't even use rears. I mean, it gets loud, but it doesn't impress ME. I wonder how deaf i am on a scale of 1-10?
And may i add, i have perfect hearing and have never been around much significantly loud stuff much.

Good shit. Too bad gaining 3db really doesn't do a whole lot.

Interesting comments. Although I am happy with my current setup, and have been for some time, I will be upgrading soon for a better front stage. I look for better sound quality, not spl, but sometimes you kinda have to, at least a little, to compensate for a upgrade. I understand the bug and all, but I try to be realistic. Disposable money to spend is key for me here. At this point, any upgrade is just simply gravy. I use to upgrade alot, but that was to get me where I wanted to be. Once I have achieved outstanding sound quality, and plenty of volume to go along with it, I could upgrade well down the line. I don't want to sacrifice things I need in life just to feed the beast so to speak.
