whistling sound

so i had a pioneer deck hooked up to my viper amp. Then i

just got a alpine deck installed it an now have a whistling

sound from the speakers.

change the ground on the HU...

I just changed it, all it did was make it worse.

try getting some wire and making a temp ground directly to the battery.

see if it goes away (just run it thru the window or somethin)

if not i would suggest trying a third source unit. if it goes away, i would guess it is the headunit.
