Which would you run? CVR12 or CVX12

its so strange...I hear of so many problems with pioneer decks and CVR subsI've had neither (well, except for my internal HU amp *******...I liked my music a bit louder than the HU cared to give)

x2, never had any problems with my Pioneer decks and owned a shit ton of them. I have only owned 2 kicker subs. The old solobarics and the CVX I currently have and never had any problems with them.

I have no doubt the CVX is the better sub I'm just curious as to if it will be worth the money in my set-up.I can't change the enclosure size as it is part of a seat.It is a slot-ported box was made for the little C12.I had a audio shop down here make it for me.I'm just wondering if the CVX would struggle with the amp and box design.The ZR360 is not comng out till it craps out.

This is in my boat so that is why I stick with the Kicker stuff, they do well in marine enviroments.While this sub is outside 100% of the time it nevers gets direct water.It is about 6" off the floor downfiring in a raised bench seat.

Well, what are the dimensions of the down firing slotted box? I have mine sealed and sounds good. If you stick with recommended specs for the box, then it will shine. I can't remember what the recommended size is for the CVX ported, but sealed it does well 1.2 to 1.5. I have mine in 1.5cft.

So I suggest to look up their specs for the box and see what Kicker has to say.
