which type r?

ok at the risk of sounding completely stupid, i have a cople of questions.

i have the punch 500s amp

and i was wondering which type r should i get? the dual 4ohm or dual 2 ohm and

how exactly should i wire it? also what load will it be with the correct wiring?

any help will be appreciated.

and just wire one channel to each coil right? and it'll be a 2ohm load if i'm thinking right

1 DVC 4 ohm sub can be wired to 2 ohms (parallel/parallel) or 8 ohms (series/series)

1 DVC 2 ohm sub can be wired to 1 ohm(parallel/parallel) or 4 ohms (series/series)

Parallel/parallel wiring both +'s and -'s wired to the amp Series/series wiring jump 1 + from 1 voice coil to 1 - on the other voice coil then the remaining + to amp + and the other - to the amp - I hope you can follow that.

No you bridge the amp. Usually you use 1+from 1 channel and the - from the other channel. It should be written on the amp.

so i'd be running them in series at a 4ohm load, oh yeah i do know how to bridge and wire amps and all but i haven't dealt with dvc before and i've been outta the game for a long time. thanks for the input, it helps alot. ya never learn anything if ya don't ask. i was originally gonna go with the ts-w126dvc from premier but for like $50 more i figured why not go with the r since from what i've read only here it's a better woof than the premier. i still dont know if im gonna get a tcab box or build my own, but i heard their boxes are pretty good quality wise.
