I cannot tell if my subs are old school w3 or w6's..i have 3 of them in a sealed box..i am not sure what ohm load they present...but i have them hooked up to a 1700w amp..i have 500w going to all 3 and they hardly move...so that eliminates w0,w1,w2,w4,w5...they do not have the rubber bumper thing around where the screws are...they are just like cardboard thing...the screw hole is exposed on the outside..not surrounded by the rubber bumper thing...i am pretty sure they are w6's cause of pics i have seen on ebay..only way for sure is to take them out of the box and i dont wanna do that..any info will help..thanks

To know for sure, I think you are gonna have to remove one of the subs, flip it over and look at the magnet. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Does it really matter?? i mean w3 and w6 are bothe 300w rms and 600w max...just different magnets and w6 is better though.

The fact[assumption] that you're putting 500watts to them and they're not moving[getting loud] doesn't really eliminate any of the possibilities, it only introduces another one;

Are they wired properly? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And why the hell don't you want to take them out of the box? It's not like they're made of toxic green ooze. Pull some screws and take a look.

Cause i am getting a new box for my 3 12's so they will pull them out of the box..so then i will know for sure tomorrow at 11:00am...cause i told them they were w6's but what if they pull them out and they are w3's or somethign else..all i know is they are wired to a 4 ohm load...so they have to be w3 or w6 cause they are the only ones they have dual 6 ohm..and 3 dual 6's can only be wired to a 4 ohm load...is this true?? cause 3 dual 4 are 2.67 ohm load..and 3 dual 2's are 3 ohm load...i checked for sure on jlaudio.com...thanks for the input..guess i will know in about 21 hours what they are..but the thing is i dont wanna make a fool outta myself..what if they are w0's lol..i doubt it though..thanks

3 dual 6's can be wired to one ohm as well . I believe the wo's only came in 4 or 8ohm svc didn't they ? How do you know it's a 4ohm load ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

because the man i bought them off of said they were dual 6 ohm subs..and the only way to run them is 1 or 4 ohm..and my amp is not 1 ohm stable...i know its easy to unscrew the sub and look...but i will have a hell of a time putting it back cause i cannot move my box or flip it upside down i will have do disconnect it from amp and all that...just dont wanna do that..i will find out tmr...i will let you guys know if they are w3 or w6..lets take a poll..who thinks they are w3?? thinks they are w6??...i personally from what they weigh and the man said about them i will go with w6...you should see this bad azz box i will be puttin them in its a ported box with the port on the bottom subs facing back of my SUV..l000l...with port along the whole bottom tuned to well shop knows that i think 30 something i will ask them i think 38hz...box cost $165..total is $209 for them to drop subs in mount amp wire up...thanks guys..dont get too harsh..i am a beginner..this is my first system..not bad for a first system 3 12's JL's...thanks for comments more will do...peace
