How? I can't imagine any arguement for using nothing but a cardboad box and a few small pieces of foam at the bottom, for a speaker weighing at least 50lbs.I've seen cases where wood caused more harm than good
It was an 18, and unknown actually wants it to mess up on the shipping so he can get two woofers like meh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gifIf you order either one of them, make sure TC puts it in a WOODEN crate. Just yesterday somebody was showing pics of a new 15 from TC that was packaged in a cardboard box with 4 small pieces of foam at the bottom. No wood, at all. It was beat to hell by the time it got to his house, obviously. Outrageous if you ask me.
Indeed. Yea the crate broke. How? I can't imagine any arguement for using nothing but a cardboad box and a few small pieces of foam at the bottom, for a speaker weighing at least 50lbs.
Wood will only cause harm of the crate is broken. In that case, hard it been only cardboard, damage would have occurred anyway. The only way no wood would be acceptable is if they FILL the box with foam (in plastic). But for the heavier products, they should have some sort of wooden structure/protection.
If they were to make a solid wooden crate (my xxx's came in wooden skeletons inside the cardboard) and the shipper damages it, its easy to claim the shipper is responsible. But when its a large, heavy and fragile piece of equipment in merely a cardboard box, I could easily see a UPS saying they are not responsible. Unfortunately these days, it pays to cover your ***.Indeed. Yea the crate broke.
Good to hear, glad they are working it out with you. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And hopefully they've learned from that mistake and will be using more appropriate packaging methods in the future. Hey maybe that's the reason for the 30-50% price hikes. lolIt was an 18, and unknown actually wants it to mess up on the shipping so he can get two woofers like meh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
