ya it is a real question because i feel that directed subs are a lot better than sonys and my friend is arguing with me and i was wanting to prove him wrong

If the choice is between the two, the Directed subs are better. Sony subs arent worth the s*it.

if these are the subs you are talking about

they ****. iam stuck with two of them and HATE them. I have the matching piece of crap amp too. the sound quality out of the subs sucks and the amp will overheat every half an hour set at 75%. Its a good set up for someones first system and if you have a very limited budget other than that just leave the xplod crap alone. and to think i once had 2 IDQ12s instead =(
