yeah re SE and the magnum (REALLY KICKS HARD) are good choices for that. re xxx doesn't "kick" hard. Its loud but doesn't "kick" thats usually in the midbass/upper bass region which is not where the xxx shines. I don't know about the ED K series, but in a ported enclosure the E12A didn't kick hard. I don't know if hte K is similar or not.

kenwood is making noise alot when use for a while, jbl have very clear sound as pioneer. i bought a 6 inches jbl from cruchfield.com two year ago for my civic... now day it still very good with my sonyo...system.... i suggest go for jbl or pioneer if you want a clear system

Do a search bud, anything sony kinda sucks, ever since about 6 years ago their stuff went down the tubes REAL BAD. :thumbsdow:

As for Pioneer, they have a couple good subs but all in all you can get alot better equipment than Pioneer. Kenwood, hmmmm they aren't "that" great anymore either. All 3 of these companies just stopped leading the market years ago. They just dropped of the cutting edge and now just ride on their brand name with "so so" equipment.

if you want some mainstream stuff look at JL w3's they kick hard. A couple 15's will but with alot of power they have problems with power compression. Also MTX 6000's actually sound pretty good. I used to own a pair of 12's for temporary use until my main subs arrived. Got really loud off of just 500w. 2 15's will DEFINITELY kick hard //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I prefer them over the 8000 series. The new 9500 series is kind of expensive, not sure what your budget is. Memphis subs REALLY kick hard, like REALLY REALLY hard, at least the upper lines do.

My favorite Mainstream subs are definitely Eclipse Aluminum 15's, and the regular TItaniums are great too. Aluminums are VERY musical, i prefer those over my w7's I've owned.

personally I'd stay away from Pioneer, Kenwood, and Sony. not to say that they make god aweful stuff but Sony is far from GREAT, and Pioneer and Kenwood are just "decent" stuff, i'd get Pioneer over Kenwood. The Pioneer Premier subs and 2000SPL or whatever subs are supposed to be pretty good actually.

what amp??? For that power you may need more than one sub. I have heard the kenwoods, jbls and infinitys and they are all not bad subs. But in your "market" dont they sell alpine too?? They sell them everywhere here where I live. But yeah infinitys would be nice, the perfect was the first sub ive ever owned and blew it after 30 min. If only I would have known that the sub cant handle much.

who cares? none of them sound like good choices.

your enclosure matters the most anyways, since all the subs just move air...

i still wouldn't purchase any of those with the intent of putting them in my car though... maybe plugging them into an AC outlet...

They are ALL pieces of shit! Obviously you came here for a reason, to ask people who know what they are talking about a question. Well, you asked...and a few of the more knowledgeable people told you...they all ****. what is your price range??? SERIOUSLY...look at...

http://www.respl.com ...RE series, call for direct pricing

http://www.edesignaudio.com ...the Kv2 series

http://www.incriminatoraudio.com ...the 187 series

check them all out...pick one of those and you CAN'T go wrong...listen...and you may learn. peace
