which sub for a camaro?

The only problem with those is I can't listen to them before I buy them.
from my experience with subs good f*ckin subs are good f*ckin subs. lol.

When a ton of people, err rather educated people say sub x is a great sub then it is a good sub. If you're a tech guy look at some bl graphs of the tops subs out there and you will notice a lot of the internet brand subs are going to have very similar and often times better graphs than graphs f store name brands.

I've heard a brahma, a xxx, a w7, and an rl-p, and to be honest they all sound d*mn good. I dont even have a favorite among them. It might be the w7 if you have some awesome midbass up front or the brahma or the rl-p if you dont. Anyways, my point is a good sub will sound good to you. the rl-p, brahma, xxx, w7, and avalanche are all great subs. They'll all probably sound awesome to you. For the most part with subs, as long as it has low distortion, a strong motor and some good displacement you will be happy.

This my experience, and from what I've been reading many others //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. I don't have an upgraded midbass region and man does it lack. It's all good, someday when I have some extra cash I know where it's going. With the xxx if you don't have or don't want to upgrade your mids then I would steer you towards an rlp from what other have said about it, being as I've never heard one in person, let alone seen one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif .

This is all good information and thanks for replying guys. I listened to the JL line up today and I have to say they are definately tighter sounding then the kicker line up. I have to agree with most of the people here that the kickers are more of an SPL sub than SQ.

I have decided to go with 2 JL 12w3v2. They are the best ones that I have heard in my price range even though they may be a bit over priced. I have all the time in the world to get some and I'll just wait until I come across a good deal somewhere.

I'm sure that all the other subs mentioned are awesome subs but I can't look at graphs and know they'll sound good. I have to hear em first even though they will sound different in my car. At least I can tell if their gonna be punchy or boomy.

whether or not they are going to be punchy or boomy largely, actually, almost entirely, depends on your install. You want boomy then build a large sealed box. You want punchy build a small sealed box. w3v2's are nice, but waaaay overpriced. Do you have any diamond dealers near you? The d6 is generally less than the w3v2's and IMO sounds way better. I would compare the d6's to the jl w6v2.

I really gotta say though, you are missing out by only going with subs you get a chance to hear first //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
