Which sub/amp combo is better?

I am upgrading my system from my comps. Which package should i get? A setup with 4 JL 8w7 with JL 1000/1 amp for 700? Or 2 2007 Model Kicker 12inch L7 with JL 1000/1 amp for 500?

Suggest any other amps, better for the price with these subs?

Its going into a Ford Ranger Ext Cab.

go with the JL setup, then sell it all back and get something cheaper and save some money.

Or better yet, just buy the JL amp and sell it back and get a better amp to power the Kicker, or whatever subs you may get after doing some research around here.

ok so it looks like ill go with the kickers? even though i hear the sound quality is non existent on those subs, im sure they will be louder.

you'd be happier with re sx's rather than L7's trust me on this,but then you would need a 2000-3000 w rms amp

i would love to have re subs, but can you get me two 12 for 200, thats what i worked out witht the l7's.

you can get 1 for around $224 shipped off ebay with a 2 yr warrantee.me personally,i'd rather get 1 sx now and save up for the other one.its like night and day between the two

if you insist on L7's,then go with the cvx's,they will get allmost as loud as the 7's but will sound better....you can get them for bout $139 a piece

I have yet to meet a L5 or L7 that I liked. I went through THREE different enclosures with my 12" L5 before I finally decided it sucked and no amount of tinkering would get it to accurately reproduce bass! I liked it so much I sold it for $80 to one of my friends with all THREE enclosures.
