Always fuse for the wire, not the amp. Also, 40 times 3 is 120, not 240? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gifRunning 15ft of 4awg cable to a single amp putting out 1200 watts. Amp has 40Amp X 3 (Linked 240 Amp) fuses on it if that makes a difference.
What size fuse should I get?

Other than the fact that it is underfused for the wire size.....I'm looking at this wire kit from knukonceptz and it comes with an "AGU" fuse holder, and an 80a AGU fuse. Is that not good?
I've seen ANL up to 500 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gifget ANL with that accepts 4ga-0ga. U'll be happy in the long run when u decide to upgrade ur wire. ANL accepts fuses up to 300Amps
Actually they will hold up to 500a + fuses, FYIget ANL with that accepts 4ga-0ga. U'll be happy in the long run when u decide to upgrade ur wire. ANL accepts fuses up to 300Amps
Where are you getting these from?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gifTroof!
1/0ga= 350a
2ga= 225a
4ga= 150a
8ga= 100a
10ga= 60a
Is that a bad thing? I am in basically the same situation, running 4 gauge from the battery to a 1200 watt amp, but I have a 100 amp anl fuse. Would there be any benefit at all in upgrading the fuse to a 150 amp anl fuse? You can see the amps I have in my sig line, a nine.1 with 4 30 amp fuses, and I'm also running a nine.4 with 2 30 amp fuses. I know I really need to upgrade to some 1/0 gauge, but can't afford to do so right now, but so far the 4 gauge has been working fine.Other than the fact that it is underfused for the wire size.....
