which setup would you rather see?

right now I'm having a change of heart a little bit, so I want some opinions

either 4 Soundstream xxx-18's in a wall.. OR 24 Soundstream SPLX-12's in a clamshell?

If it were me, I'd go with the XXX 18"s. Those things are beastly...

Thats what I'm probably going to do , but the 24 12's is so tempting,

the real reason why I'm changing my mind is because I did the measurements for the 18's today and it's going to be a super tight fit to get those all in with enough port area.. also has to do with their mounting depth, the bottom 2 might not clear the a part of the floor

If you can fit em, go with the 18's...but it will be crazy loud either way!

no doubt both would be crazy, I'm also thinking that the clamshell would be a more efficent design and I would have to have as much power

the 24 12's i think would be my way to go if it was me. who elce says i have 24 12's( and can back it up)? but i meen 4 18s are just as rare... idk but personaly i beleave u would get some nice bass outa the 12's. dont know very much about soundstream

I would definitely do that if I had the airspace and the funds to back it up, but each on of those subs weighs 94lbs
