I have recently decided its time to upgrade the system. I have two amps right now. Alpine MRP-F450 and an Alpine MRV-F353. These are my two options right now.

Run the Alpine MRV-F353 5-channel amp.

This would put out about 37wrms per channel and 110wrms to a sub which is a little underrated. I can run a set of 5.25 inch components up front and a decent set of 6x9 coaxials in the rear along with a low powered sub for some extra lows.

Run the Alpine MRP-F450 4-channel amp.

This would be putting out around 50wrms per channel. This would power my speakers a little better, but then i wouldn't have a sub channel. I could bridge channels 3/4 which would put out about 150wrms but then i would have to run my rear speakers off the head unit (Alpine CDA-9825) which only puts out about 18wrms.

which setup of the three would you recommend to me? I am open to any suggestions, but i would kind of like to use one of these two amps and i am not looking to spend too much.....i am poor right now....

Thanks for the help,

I could use some suggestions for which component set to get. Everyone here seems to love the Phoenix Gold RSd's. Do they sound good even with low power?

The ones who use the RSd's usually overpower them, not the other way around. As for the F450, it's 70x4 & 200x2, both @ 4. You can either get comps (or coax) rated ~70W and bridge the last two channel to run a small sub. Or you could just bridge all four channels to run more powerful comps and get another amp for a sub.

this is what i am leaning towards doing. Run the comps of channels 1/2 and put a sub on 3/4 bridged. My rear speakers can run off my head unit. I shouldn't notice the rear speakers too much, should I?

Would i get a decent amount of bass running my comps up front and some decent rear coaxials. No sub? should i run the Comps off channels 3/4 so i can add the subsonic filter and bass boost?
