Which one has faster response and tougher??? (Mainly for techno, trance sounds??)

two treo tsx 12"s would be what i would go with. best bass i ever heard was with three tsx 10"s. so tight and snappy, but so energetic.

Several posts in this thread are very interesting because kicker or someone sponsored by kicker built a vehicle using solo x woofers (supposedly straight SPL drivers) and won a serious award in SQ. While I certainly respect the opinion of others on this forum, generalizing that kicker woofers are sloppy is a false statement. Maybe polecat can chime in with some words of wisdom?

80% of the SQ cars that have won world toitles were L series woofers, and yes, you are speaking of Gary Biggs. But there is a long list of people using Kicker for SQ, and a big majority are L7's. It's 'how' they are installed is what matters.

I can bet the L series has won as many, if not more than most other brands, and most smaller companies online have never won a SQ award...so does this mean anything, well, base your own decison. But I agree with Goldraz1, to give a 'general' statement any brand can sound bad, I can say how many bad installs have you seen? I mean, come on, what sounds good to me may not to you? So does it mean SQ varies per person...you bet.

With the power you have, try a smaller cone over the 15". But this is what i would do, if you want to keep with Kicker...wait until Jan and get the new round woofers we have....but that's just my $.02 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

80, if it is a true Kicker round, there are some 'copies' out there claiming to be the same driver, and they are far from it....and I mean the Credence ones...

From some of the people I talked to, the performance is very similar. But this is a tale for another time......

But IIRC you can find used round Solo's for less than the Credance drivers sell for.

tale...we've tested them head to head...very much different graph's...but I agree, the first round solo's rocked!

come on now, if you could get everything you wanted for almost nothing, who would want to try anythign else?

i am happy with my L7's, i have mine ported, so they're kinda "sloppy" i guess. haha.

Eclipse makes very accurate "snappy" sounding woofers, I had a pair of 12 inch 8700's sealed that never failed to impress my passengers.
