which ohm subwoofer??????

need some help on what ohm speaker to get. i am thinking of getting a fosgate p3 dual voice coil shallow subwoofer. i have a fosgate 800.2 amp. the subwoofer cant handle the full power of the amp so i thought i might go for the least amount of THD.

these would be the 2 options:

200wattsx2 at 4ohm load (thd less than .05)

400wattsx2 at 2ohm load (thd less than .1, but too much power)

i am thinking of going for the 200wattsx2 option. any thoughts on why this would not be the best option? i guess i would go with the 4ohm subwoofer option for this application?

get a different sub. Read around here for awhile and you will find many many many many better options for the money.

its like a $200 sub, i keep hearing about these options but never really get any.

we are talking shallow mount, the options are pretty limited.

for $200 if you need a shallow sub, find a used SI Mag V4. It will blow the socks off of that P3.
