It all Depends of you want it sounding nice (Sealed)....Or Having the Bass "louder" where it will "bump"

Sealed:sounds better, gets down lower

Ported: "Bumps" better

I would go sealed...thats my opinion

I would also go sealed. Type-r's are really SQ subwoofers... You could go ported but I think you'll be more satisfied sealed...

i wouldn't buy either.....especially a pre fab ported, thats never a good idea. If you go sealed, which is sounds like you dont want to, you could get away with that one, but ported i would build one. I like how they garontee that you will get at least 3db's more ouput out of there, when toss my w7 in there and probably see at least a 3db drop....i should buy it just so they have to buy it back.

yeh, if you can, at all costs build your own. Not only will it probaly be cheaper, but its fun and makes you "one with the system", ha.

make one DUDE! that way you can be sure of the volume and all the specs! its not that hard!
