Which JL subs to roll with.

155 @ 32 hz wtf. what dbs and at what frequency did it reach its loudest?
I believe the only test was at 32hz. Imagine if the boxes were ported at 45hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/titanic.gif.8089b7552c370bcc138aa121756d0c0b.gif

The doors on the truck go like this ~~~~~ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rotflol.gif.b453361716769b8110ddefc85ff03cd2.gif

Sorry, but if price is no option and you just want to be louder than your friends, then why don't you put as many 13.5 W7's and as many 1000.1 amps in your car as possible? That's just me.

Price was kindof an issue. I only wanted to spend around 5500 on parts and that includes my new IVA-D900 alpine indash dvd player. I expect to spend another 1500 on the install and like 2500 on some new rims. So that is about all I am willing to spend on my truck. The poor thing is probably going to fall apart on me once I put all the 13s in there. 2 12's was bad enough. I broke my front windshild. Well kinda. I was bumpin some lil john and the rearview was bouncing all over the place and it broke off and when it did it took a huge chunk of glass with it. OOPS so that is another couple hundred bucks when I get back to get a new windshield.

Hey man, why dont you just add 2 more 12"s instead of thinking about 4 10"s. Why not just do 4 12's, its louder than 4 10's, or 2 13.5's anyways. Plus it would look better on an install (personal opinion. More is better for street show)

Welllll, I promised the 12's to a buddy of mine. I did the cartoys thing and bought 2 for 800 a piece and bought the system warranty for them. My buddy is buying them both from me for 1000 for the pair and he will just use my name if anything happens to the subs. I don't know if you read the whole thread but I bought another 1000/1 and am getting 3 13's in a vented box in the bed. Now I just have to figure out how the hell I am going to get these to fit and still look right. As of now I did some playing around and with the blowthrough I have 16.75" from the floor tho the plastic piece under the window. The sub takes up 14 of that and another .75 for the bottom piece of MDF. Now that leaves me with exactly 2 inches. Now I need to add in the 2 inch vent. You see my problem. Everything will be touching.. the subs to the top of the blowthrough and the top of the vent. I really wanted the subs to be flush with the blowthrough but it looks like I will have to angle the box some so I can fit the sub and the vent in there and it still look clean. Any Ideas. I know I could angle the two outside subs and move the middle back but I worry about the cancellation of the two outside subs being slightly angled toward eachother.

As nice as your system is, Ive seen that truck with the 8 XXX 12's and its insane, you wont keep up with it.

As for your windshield, the adhesive for the rear view mirror was stronger than the glass? Ive seen many many mirrors fall off, never seen or even heard of one pulling glass down with it, always just the glue failing and the mirror detaching from the glass. Im finding the broken windshield story a bit fishy ttytt.

Well the mirror fell off before and it had a silicone/ rubber type adhesive. When I went to reglue the mirror with the windyw glass glew crap it wouldn't stick so I had to remove the rubber/ silicone thing which I then glued the metal piece to the glass. I was showing off my system in the parkinglot at work and the bastard came off and was hanging by the temp/ compas wire and had about 2 inches of glass that in left a hole in the middle of the break that went all the way through to the plastic film on the outside of the glass. I tried to get a free windshield from the glue company but they wouldn't do it. If you don't beolive me I will post pics when I get back from Iraq. But as of now you will have to take my word. I wish I was full of crap B/C I have to buy a new windshield when I get home.
