Which JL Audio 12w3v2?

Please excuse the newbie but can someone explain the difference in 2, 4 or 6 ohms and what is recommended in a sealed enclosure for 3 (THREE) JL Audio 12w3v2's with a JL Audio 1000/1 amp?

They seem to be selling these subs with the different ohm rating and I need to know which ones I should buy.

The box has 3.27 feet of cubic air space... (?) I believe this is what they said. Again, forgive me as I am new to this. The box length itself is 13 3/4" for the bottom, 8 3/4" for the top, 10 3/4" for the back and the front is something around 11 3/4'' but it's at an angle. The subs are firing down. He figured out the space from these calculations. Oh, and these are all inside measurements.

Would it be best to go with the 500/1?

JL 1000/1 it is then. I already have a 300/4 for the mids and highs so I am sticking with the JL amps. Thanks again for the advice and help!

Yes, I have a 1 farad Streetwires cap. The problem I am having at the moment is I bought a pair of brand new 12w3v2's on ebay and still have to pick up one more but I did not know about the different ohm versions. I am unsure if they are single or dual as it's not stated on the auction. If they are single, do I pass on them?

The box I am using had 2 older 12w1's in it and there is enough room for 3 12w3v2's so I am upgrading the system.

Cool. I got the 12w3v2's (a pair) for $260 brand new. Thanks for the advice on the cap. Should I get a 2.0 or 2 1.0's or? If nothing else, they are cool looking. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Here is the rest of my setup:

Alpine CVA-1005

Alpine 6-Disc Changer

Alpine Graphic EQ

MB Quart 5 1/4 Fronts

MB Quart 1" tweets

MB Quart 4" Fronts

MB Quart 5 1/4 w/ coax Rears

JL Audio 1000/1 (for subs)

JL Audio 300/4 (for mids/highs)

Playstation 2 with DVD

Oh, and all of this is going into a Toyota 4x4 Xtra Cab.

I am also thinking about the 6-Disc CD/DVD player. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'll get pictures in the gallery as soon as it's looking decent.

it was a fukin joke to see how ppl like get so messed up when you read posts from people that dont know as much as you.

so which caps do you consider good jmac? Im not saying i dont believe you about what youre sayin about caps but where did you get that info?

i know an alternator has to be big enough to power the whole car and system and then some but a cap doesnt take much to power, it stays at the same voltage as the battery and is hook up directly between the amp and the battery. So when amp is ******* power and they voltage drops a bit, the cap kicks in for a split second to make up for the loss. And a split second later, its charged again.

Can't we all just get-along? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I have the chance to get another streetwires cap for $20.00. Should I get it and put it on the 300/4 for the highs or would 1 cap on the 1000/1 suffice?
