Is it because hifonics put the "REAL" amount listed or is it that hifonics is made better?

Pioneer, its CEA-2006 compliant.

Hifonics tend to overrate their amps.

I would much rather have an amp where the heat sink gets hot than an amp that runs cool to the touch. If an amp is cool to the touch it means one of 3 things.

1. The amp isnt disipating heat and its like an oven inside

2. The amp isnt even producing enough power to heat up

3. The amps cooling system is mega efficent and is disipating heat like a champ.

The third happens few times and far between

none of my customers compained of their amps getting hot.. that same amp too.

so what amp would be good that has 100w x 2 @ 4ohm for about 100 - 120 dollars??
