Which is a better all Around Sub????

Well I was at a car audio shop, trying to figure out which subs I going to run next bcI'm in the stages of upgrading. So I am between the re audio XXX12D2 or the Digital Designs new Z12 suds. Now I have read car audio magazine when they tested the the re audio XXX12D2 sub and it got a excellant final overall score when it was tested. But the shop owner is telling me by far that the Digital Designs subs are the best that is out there, with it's performance and etc. So I didn't buy anything, so I'm asking what do you think is the way to go. Bc I will wait the feed back from you before I go out and buy. So thanks for your help

dd z series subs are gona cost u a $hit load of $$$$$$$$$. look into the 99 or 95 series or maybe the 35's. the xxx's are awsome some subs. iv heard the new'r version 12's(pair). they didnt sound that great.....it was user error. he still has taken any1's advice sooooooo.. his loss LOL

a good shop will have them both installed in boxes in the showroom, so just listen to them there and then ask if he would be willing to switch them out if you don't like the ones you buy.
