is the stinger better than the xscorpion brand or are they about the same as far as output. im specfically talking about the Stinger SGJ78 12V Crossflow fan vs. XSCORPION TF8 crossflow fan. they are noth rated at 54cuft/min. i justed wanted some ppl's opinion on which was better. thanx

Flip a coin and pick one. I have used plain 120mm computer fans for hidden amp racks and aluminum shrouds before. Basically, anything that keeps the heat from being built up will work just fine! Also, you are generally better off doing all push or all pull instead of trying to do a push/pull configuration with the fans.

I also have a trick for you. If you find your fan is introducing noise into your sound system, you can use the low pass section of just about any passive crossover to filter out the noise! Why? Because the low pass output section has a choke coil and a capacitor which are effective at filtering out the noise!

x2 I ran my fan too an aux. fuse on the panel to get rid of fan noise:D

Using all push or all pull is not good if you have a long amp rack to cool. You end up with good colling at the end with the fans, but minor cooling at the other. Have a push/pull setup in a long rack ensures adequate air flow throughout the rack.

x2 I was referring to a rather small setup like a shroud that barely fits over the amps. I miss not having access to scrap aluminum //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif even though I still have access to an aluminum welder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
