6ch amp for active Front, Passive rear?

I have a four channel running my passive front componants and coaxial rears. I want to go active on the fronts. Should i use my current four channel to run active, and my deck to run rears? Get a 2 channel for rears, or get a 6ch amp to run active fronts? And if i should get a 6ch which one do you recommend for around $400 or so.

If you are going active the main reason would be for better SQ, in which case you should ditch the rears altogether.

Oh and JL makes a 6 channel that is somewhat reasonablly priced iirc.

I agree, unless you can find maybe the outgoing JL A series 6 channel or something of that nature for cheap.

i have an older jl e6450 that is kinda scratched up but works great and hardly ever got used i would let go of for pretty cheap. pm me if your interested.
