Car Number one- the sensible choice:

94 Lincoln Continental Sig Series 4 dr sedan

3.8 v6, FWD, New tires, sunroof, all options, air suspension Maroon w/maroon leather int 4500 from a dealer w/90k mi. Former old fogey mobile

Car number two- the less sensible chioce

93 Lincoln Mark VIII

4.6 liter DOHC 280 hp V8, sunroof, air suspension, Graphite gray, gray leather interior, straight pipes after the cat.

7000 obo (offering 5000) from private party, 70k mi. never seen snow.

Help me make a decision. I intend to do a special air suspension mod that allows the car to "drop" on the stock suspension, as well as throw in 3 12" JL audio w6's

I like the Continental better for gas mileage and for the passenger space, the Mark VIII better for speed and style.

The Mark VIII is like a Ford T-Bird and the Continental is like a Taurus.

I'd get the Mark VIII...And it's easy to mod the struts...
I thought you modded the compressor?

What do you mean modding the struts? Basically the thing I saw 4+ years ago was a mod where you rigged 4 compressors up and you could use them to control the struts like hydraulics/airbags- then you could flip a switch and the balancing sensor would kick back in and the car would go flat again.

Yea, my bad, I was thinking wrong...

I was talking about modding the strut to go lower...

My bad...

That would work too... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
That's pretty easy, actually, as long as you are careful...

All you do is remove the bag from the strut, and take out the bumpstop inside...

I'll try to find a link for you that explains it a little better...

I personally would go with the Mark VIII... They just look a lot better. Plus more performance.

I couldn't find the link, but it involves disassembling the bag... Then you would need someone to reseal it for you.

Anybody else have any other cars that might work... I found these two, i want comfort, decent gas mileage 20+ miles to the gallon, and class with speed as a bonus.

I have owned a Mark VIII before, it was a piece though, the air system was from hell and the ****** was bad. They tend to be garage queens, and I don't even have a garage...

I know nothing about the COntinental concerning relaibility etc.
