HONDA, I have an 06 RR I'll sell ya:)
If you wanna make the trip to illinois, ill take it off your hands //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If it is your first bike don't buy it new...

Even if it isn't your first, you can find some GREAT used bikes out there. One of my friends got his Yamaha that way and he has had it for several years and had no issues at all.

If you need that new one because it has 5 more HP than last years model then you are in idiot, and you will probably crash it and kill yourself.

Also, if you have never ridden a motorcycle before or have limited experience don't go out and buy something big and fast...

And, I don't care how many years you have ridden take a training/safety course. I have been ridding dirtbikes since I was 7 and I took it a couple of years ago and learned a lot of stuff.

I don't know if this stuff was already said, if it was then it needs to be repeated... I'm not going to read this whole **** thread. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I understand where you guys are coming from. I may take your advice and go with something that if i drop wont be a huge deal.
IT is always a huge deal to drop it over....

And my uncle who owns a Harley dealer says it it's not if you are going to lay it down but WHEN.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

If you're in IL sign up for the MSF class now! it's free, you get a break on your insurance, you can take the license test at the end of it, and you will be a much better rider.

but for real, do it now... classes fill up FAST, and the schedule was either released a little while ago, or is being released soon.

The only reason I was looking at new bikes is so i got some kind of a warranty with them. And yes i do plan on taking a safety course(s). Thanks for the input though:)

Its a cbr600? Color and condition? and price? possibly interested.

I have seen quite a few people suggesting getting a Ninja 250 to start out with.. I know it is a puss bike but I have seen it mentioned quite a bit while searching for bikes myself.

The general idea is that it is enough power to get you started and get you familiar with riding a bike. After a year go resell it for about what you paid.

Its def not the coolest looking thing but sounds great to get you started.
