little over 2500 miles, excellent condition. I'd want $7000.00Its a cbr600? Color and condition? and price? possibly interested.
I agree that if you don't have any experience you should start off on a smaller bike, but this guy said he rode his buddy's bike all the time. All bikes are dangerous because people in cars don't pay attention to you and don't check their blind spots. So, it really doesn't matter if it is a 250, 600 or a 1000, if you get hit by a car you fuct.As much as it pains me, I have to agree with Manny on this one. I had a Honda Hurricane 1100 back in the day as my first bike becasue I got a hella deal on it. I wish I never did get that back and started out smaller. I mean a fall is a fall a wreck is a wreck. Thing is it has so much power and you just would want to smash it. Well I did one day and hit a pot hole of all things and it sent me flying and get banged up some. I was very lucky and thank god I was only at about 40 mph when I got on it. I had full riding gear on that day, which I dont always do.
So I would do a 500 and under and get some time under your belt and then sell it and get something nicer. Good luck!
Thats kind of the way i feel. While i have some decent riding under my belt, and plan to go through the safety courses etc before i personally buy anything. I understand where these guys are coming from though in that i will be riding it pretty much every day till i start seeing snow, so getting something smaller might not be a bad idea. Ive been looking around to see whats available. But yea, at 60 mph it doesnt matter how big the engine is on the bike if you drop it or get hit.I agree that if you don't have any experience you should start off on a smaller bike, but this guy said he rode his buddy's bike all the time. Id love to find an older 03-04 600 in good condition. I would actually like my friend to sell me his 03 cbr to cruise around on for a year or two. The guy never rides it, but i know unless he buys something else(highly unlikely) he wont part with it.since you have some experience riding last year, I wouldnt suggest getting a 250 bike because you will get bored very quickly. The 6's are very fast and dangerous, but much of that danger is from other cars. For a first bike, having ridden a bit I would suggest a standard bike that is a few years old such as a honda 599, yamaha fz6 or yzf600r. These are basically detuned 600 engines. They are also more comfortable to ride.
