I current have the old aq 3500 amp with 2 hdc3 12s unboxed and I was wanted to know if that amp was powerful enough to run 3 hdc3s. Most people that ive seen are running 1 aq 2200 on the pair but do you think I should just run the 2 hdc3s or could I run 3. I want to power the woofers adequatly instead of making a mistake of buying a extra woofer only to find out that its being undepowered.

I run a single 2200d to mine. I needed more power so I hooked it up to a 3k amp....still wants more. And it's 3 years old, lol. I would just keep the 12s, run those in the right box, should be less of a hassle than adding a third sub. Plus i'm sure that you wouldn't hear much of a difference anyway. Good luck!

Id sit down and figure out exactly what all you will be installing for amperage consumption and add another 10-15% amperage useage on top of that...
