Okay, well I have a single DVC kickerCVR 12inch 4ohm subwoofer. (( kicker in sealed box rated at 400 RMS- could probably overpower it a bit tho I think?)

I have a sealed box which is 1.25 square feet which the kicker is in. Now I have 5 1/4's for the doors which are hifonics ( tech specs 5.25" 2-Way Component System with 30-90 Watt Power Rating, 450 Maxx Watt Power and 61Hz-25kHz Frequency )- also with those came a set of tweeters with crossovers, so I plan on running the 5 1/4s and the tweeters off the amp with the 12 inch subwoofer. Is this a good idea?

Or would you recommend getting two seperate amps? It's not like I am building a ground pounding system, just getting a little thump in my trunk while hitting highs and mids. Now moneys not really an option but not looking to spend more than 200ish on 1 amp. If two are needed then $400.

Would you guys recommend wiring the 4ohmDVC down to 2ohm?

Thanks guys, appreciate all your help.

your option is 2 or 8, and yes you probly wanna go 2 unless you have an amp that can put out decent rms at 8ohm (if bridged, essentially a 4ohm stereo output) and I ran 500rms to the cvrs

If you had a single 4ohm sub it'd be easy to grab a 4 channel am and bridge the rear channels to the sub. That 8ohm load pretty much kills any chance of getting good power out of a 4 channel amp, and 99% of 4 channel amps won't be stable at 2ohms when bridged.

So I am assuming it would probably be a bad thing if I just wired the crossovers on one channel and the sub on the second channel, thus being a 2 channel amp. Or is that bad lol.

I really wanna get alot of power out of my sub, I am going to wire it at 2ohms I decided, I could possibly just wire the 5 1/4's to the headunit since it gives out a pretty decent 4x54watts. I just dont know what I would do with the tweeters.

So exactly how would I wire all this up then? I would rather a 4channel amp if possible, and I would like to get at LEAST 500rms to the sub alone.

What good 4channel amps would you recommend?

I am thinking of just getting a single amp for my subwoofer, not sure which one, what would you guys recommend? I would get a seperate one for my 5 1/4s and the tweeters which are crossovered together, probably ( Hifonics Brutus BXI610)- you think this would work?
