Which amp should I be looking at for my combination?

What would be the most effective amp to get?

So far, what I'm looking at are DLS Iridium 6.5" component speakers for the door, with a JVC Arsenal KD-AR5500 for the reciever. I would also like to add a mild sub down the line.

I've heard very good things about these, would they be okay for my goals?

What else would you guys recommend and where is the best place to get them besides ebay?

Thanks for any help, it's much appreciated!

even though it has a "Black with aluminum insert and blue illuminated carbon fiber badge and blue LED backlit PG logo", i heard it aint up to par with the previeous lines.

The octane is pgs entry level products, so ofcourse they arent going to be on par with the upper pg lines, but they are just as good as any other brand amps. If you really want to go out, then take a look at the pg xenon series.

Would you happen to have a specific part number for the xenon series?

Thanks!

Both companies are great. You cant fail with either. The xenon however delivers a full 600rms into any ohm load from 1-4 ohms, which makes it more versatile if you so ever decide to switch subs out.

If I get the one that is on ebay right now, that should be good for everything?

Just that one amp will take care of everything plus the later sub I plan to get?

If so, I just might buy it.

look into soundsplinter subs.

http://www.soundsplinter.com - the owner, mike, has the BEST customer service ive ever dealt with. and the products kick ***.

there are a 2 or 3 for sale on the forums for one reason or another (upgrading, no car, ect ect)

the RL-P series kicks major ***, a pair of RLI-10's would be sweet too.

Will do man, thanks for the link.

How much do the good Memphis amps run about? What amp from Memphis would do the job Im looking for and more that's not too pricey?

What are the main differneces between the Memphis amps and the Phoenix Xenon ones? Can I go wrong with either one?

And would just one of these amps supply enough power for my speakers, sub, etc?

Sorry for all these questions, I'm learning all I can!

They are both pretty much evenly priced. The closest memphis amp that would match up against the xenon 600.1 would be the mclass 500*1 classd . The memphis will put out 500rms @ 2 ohms, and the xenon 600watts@ 1-4 ohms. Both companies will do fine, and are pretty evenly matched , but i will give the sq edge to pg. Just pickwhichever one you can get the best deal on, or which everone looks the best to you.

REQ's suggestion is excellent but to give you another option a kenwood KAC-8152D, it puts out 550 watts rms into 2ohms for less then the Pheonix gold.
These look pretty good. And cheap!

Will just one of these be fine for all of my stuff?

No thats just a sub amp, a 7152 (2ch) or 7452 (4ch) would be needed for the components.
So subs need a seperate amp from the rest of the system?

And the 7152, 7452. Are they made by Kenwood too? What's the entire part number for these?

I hate not knowing much....
