Which amp is more reliable: (JBL GTO5355) or (Soundstream TRA880.5). I can get a really good deal on these so I wanted advice on the performance and reliability of these. One thing that bothers me about the JBL amp is that it only weighs 14 lbs. and the Soundstream weighs 22 lbs. Does that mean less heat sink?

I personally think all the Harmon amps Which includes JBL HARMON KARDON and INFINITY are not so good..Now that Harmon international owns all three names the amps are basically the same on the inside anyway( this also applies to home subs from jbl and harmon kardon they are just about identical as far as the amplifier in them go and have reliability issues as well)...and from what I have seen are poorly manufactured and junk...Im only saying this about the car amps..Im a old school fan of all three products and some of the stuff by all three names is still great stuff but the car amps have really went down hill in quality...

Soundstream on the other hand has allways been and still nice equipment...

Thankyou for the info. I have heard some say that Soundstream is not as good as they used to be but they are still decent and reliable. Don't know how they are making that statement and at the same time calling them decent and reliable.
