Which amp for these subs?

I just bought these:

2 Fosgate 10's, "handles 20-100 watts RMS/200 peak per channel."

I understand what watts/channels are, but I'm not sure about watt RMS and ohms

when it comes to deciding on an amp.

I think I need a 400 watt, 200 x 2 (2 channel) amp.

Can anyone clue me in, and/or recommend a particular amp? Thanks guys.

try the jbl 180.2

I think JBL makes a 300.1. That should be ok. But then again isn't that a full range enclosure. You may want to try a V12 by ALpine.

you can get a 400 watt PEAK amp, but don't get 400W RMS. RMS is like continuous power. If you give 200W continuous power to a sub that is rated for 100W continuous power, you've got problems. Take care of the subs by giving them what they're made for. Why do you want those subs anyways?

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. Why do I want those subs? I just want some decent bass... I'm not looking to shatter windows. Both the JBL 180.2 and the Fosgate 200M look like they're right in my price range. I'll be checking them out.
