which 2k amp is better?

wow i just wanted everyone opionions on the 3 amps I listed LOL.....im buyin the aq2200.???.....thanks for the feedback good bye
too bad, the AQ is a very nice amp but a 2010d brutus will eat it alive. clamp em both you will see. the new 10 series are disgusting on output and SQ both. the AQ at best might do 1800 rms if you have 14+ volts. very nice amps and reliable no doubt, but they will not do 2000 rms if you gave em 18 volts lolz. still a good choice if you have the money, great for sq.

doh i was thinking it was the 1200 lolz brain fart.

When people whip it out like that, I can't help but question the legitimacy... Here's a bench test.

ROE posted bench test

AQ makes a good product, and is pretty honest with their ratings, from the loads of evidence available. No doubt the latest Brutus is strong, but since you never got around to benching it, I can only go by word of mouth, and say it does rated (more or less). It doesn't do you any good to vomit slander, just to play up your fav gear.

False.

The AQ will do it's rated power, more like at 13.8V. It's a good powerful board.

Same board/design as the older model Brutus 2600 series. Which were rated for 2600 watts, but is a bit of a stretch IMO, but good for 2000 without any argument.

Haven't seen the inside of the new 2010 brutus, but I expect good things. The last ones I worked on here, not sure now what the models were, were steadily getting better and better.

Kudo's to Maxxsonics for improving their product. It's the only way to get a good rep and maintain it IMO.

funny. coming from a guy that pushes and sells maxxsonics products.

seems like every post you make you are trying to sell their products.

Dude, I don't sell Maxxsonics. Just giving my honest opinion here. I wouldn't push junk on anyone, I just aint like that. If one of my commercial customers had a junk amp I'd tell you. They might fire me, but oh well. Got plenty business. I turn more away than I take in, that's no shiz.

the 08 series 2608 will do roughly 2500 rms at 14 volts the new model will do nearly 2700 on the same voltage. and of course i try to sell maxxsonics, duh? i am a dealer lolz. but i never try to sell anything junk either, i sell a shitload of Kicker at my shop because a customer insists on it, but you will never see their overpriced junk in my own cars. the new 3000 gp amps do not have the springclips btw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif they also ramped up the PS and pcb to all mil spec as well as changing the way the fets are mounted, 45 degre i think now instead of the previous spring mont 90 that are famous for breaking due to severe vibrations. honestly the only time i have ever had any maxxsonics amp come back was due to vibration failure or abuse, and all the non abused amp returns have always been box mounted. if they are terrible i must be lucky lolz. personally for the money i will take a new 2010d brutus over the outdated aq2200 all day. it is a very clean amp but i want power, i could care less about sq, ( but i think the brutus SQ is just fine)

there are handfuls of amps that are better of course but not for the money they cost compared to the workhorse brutus or gp3000 lines..

im sorry but saying that hifonics puts out more power than the proven AQ and saying that the AQ doesnt even do close to rated is over the line
well from what i read they use the same board, but don't quote me on that. and i misread the amp model i thought he was getting the 1200 which i know on high voltage will push as much as 1800 but thats a stretch at best. he is getting the 2200 which will definately do 2kw on low 13's

I don't know, maybe at 15 volts.... don't get me wrong I like their amps, but I am not sure if it will clamp like that. 2000 all day no prob, but not sure about more than 2400 with good voltage... Would love to see the inside of the new model, though I think I already know what it looks like, I had a recent model come through my shop not too long ago, and I noticed it was all N channel fets and different design than the older brutus amps, even than the 06/07, it may have been an 08 though...

What does the new Crunch GP3000D Pro sell for from an Authorized Dealer? No unauthorized prices.... people who buy from those places that have to warranty their own products (0 manufacturer support, only support they get is from wholesale dealers) are crazy. Unless they could repair their own amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif when it breaks.....

I shit you not, I worked on a GP3000D Pro for Maxxsonics, back in 2008 and when I took the spring clips off ALL of the parts fell out on the floor (all the mosfets and rectifiers that were held in by the spring clips)... I was like wow! That's some serious vibration damage.... But it's not limited to the GP3000D Pro, any amp that uses those clips in a 90 degree mounting scheme is likely to break EASILY from vibration over a short period of time (less than the warranty period or right after it ends usually.... LOL).... I see it everyday because of my occupation.

I got a question....have you ever worked on a DD M3 and what you think about it??
I haven't seen the inside since the amp came out. I don't recall being displeased in anyway. Got a pic of the inside? And no I haven't worked on many DD amps, their repairs are all done by ARC last I heard. I have only worked on the old Z1's, and some of their small amps, I was impressed by the original Z1 and the smaller amps they offer, I don't like the bigger ones, same junk as in many of the larger amps that I don't care for. I think the M3 was a nice one though, one that I liked when I saw it, good design.
