Where To Start?

Alright guys I am 15, about to turn 16 and I just bought my first car a couple weeks ago. It's a 2002 Buick Century and of course I would like put a system into it, but I honestly have no idea where to start, or where to look. I found online a Kenwood 500-watt Dual 12" Bass Package

which includes KAC-8105D amp, two 12" subs, and Sound Ordnance enclosure for 349.98. Is that what you would call a "decent system?" What I am really looking for in the end is something that really bumps without distortion. But I am totally new at this whole thing, plus I don't think I am capable of installing it my self. I have no experience what so ever. This website seemed friendly and really helpful so I figured I would give you guys a shot.

With the above, you will be paying way too much for what you get. The following is my .02 for a good, loud and clear set-up that you will not have to push to the limits to enjoy.

Sundown Audio E12 | 12" Sundown E-Series Subwoofer two of these in the 4ohm DVC version.

Audio Savings | MB Quart ONYX ONX1.1600D 1600 Watt Mono Block Car Audio Class D Amplifier/Amp

a good solid amp with enough power to allow you to run conservative on the gains and have plenty of CLEAN available power on tap.

MSW | Car Audio Stereo, Car Subwoofers, Car Amplifiers and Speakers a well constructed box with the right airspace for the Sundowns, decent port area and a decent tune.

The first thing I would buy , is a good Head unit with 3 sets of RCAs,with the features that you want/need.Thats the first thing Id spend my money on,look at getting my big 3 done, and running power supply to the rear, next would be a good pair of components up front, and a good clean 4 ch amp, then id look into getting a good single 12, or a pair,or even a pair of good 10s,and figure out how much room you are willing to give up to get that in, and look at getting a good 1-2ohm stable mono amp, and a spec built box rather than a prefab/box to get the most out of the sub/subs.Take your time, shop around, and get your moneys worth, along with some top grade car audio equiptment. And even ask about/get opinions about what you want to buy from the guys on here.Read up in Help 101 to get plenty of information, ask questions,to help to get the best out of what you have the funds for/buy.Just my 0.02 cents for you.Car audio can get expensive if you let it,buying used amps/speakers ect,can save you some money from the trusted sellers on this forum, and excellent top quality stuff.Take your time, and do it once right the first time and learn as well as you go
