I am finally upgrading the audio in my 97 A4. Here is what I got:
2 x Alpine spx-13ref 5.25" for the front doors
2 x Alpine spx-17ref 6.5" for the rear deck
1 x JL audio 12" sub for the trunk
1 x Alpine MRP-f600 4 channel amp (100 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms, for the Alpine Speakers)
1 x Jensen xa2250 (500w dual channel amp for the sub)
1 x Pioneer DEH-5800MP
100' sq ft of fatmat.
Now of course I am going to begin with deadening the car, I am going for the doors, floor, firewall, whole trunk, and hood. While I have the carpet out i would like to run the wires for my amps, and i plan on upgrading the speaker wires also since audi used shitty wires for some nokia phone system. The amps are going to be setup in the trunk. Basically I know how to wire 1 individual amp by itself for the sub, but i have never had component type speakers with crossovers, and i have never had multiple amps.
How would I go about wiring this?
should I split the power and remote wires in the trunk (I can solder this connection)???
Also I am guessing that If i upgraded the speaker wires I would go from the harness to the Amp, to the crossover, or am i wrong?
The speaker wire and sub wiring kits are the only things I haven't purchased, could someone point my toward what i need?
Thanks, for any help. I am pretty excited to get it all hooked up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
