So just unscrew the bolt, put the screw through the fitting, then screw the bolt back in? With the fitting in between the screw and the seat?Use a seat bolt. Just make sure you have GOOD metal to metal contact. Get a wire brush or something and get the pain off in that one small area. You don't need to do any more than what the terminal needs for it to contact, so you shouldn't have to scrape away so much that it would be noticed.
