Where to get 1/0 wire?

**** this forum likes to argue alot about wire....run what you like...you don't have to prove to somebody else your choice in wire is superior.

If you can get kicker wire for $2/ft shipped then its a no brainer to go with kicker, but I'm going to make a guess that 99% of people that look to buy wire will never see that price point or anything close to it, thats where other manufacturers gets tempting.

I can't give out my personal contacts but its not that hard to find for $2.50 or less in the classifieds, or group buys.
lmao well welding supply goes for about $1 a foot in the classifieds, and lol at your contacts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Better SQ.. lol.. This is power wire, not speaker wire. I'm sure it helps in electrical resistance and transmission, probablly not a huge amount. But why buy welding wire when you can buy kicker or whatever for the same price if you aren't too lazy to look.
What are you smoking iceteebone? Where did I say anything about wire affecting SQ?
LMAO. how dense are you?

and that does what give you better sq or more spl?
Welding wire will oxidize easier then most audio specific power wire mainly from the poor jacket material. It is neoprene and holds moisture were PVC will not absorb any liquid. The neoprene is also a solid opaque jacket so when it does oxidize you'll only find out about it when the voltage loss gets to substantial. Usually it is also made out of a lower grade of copper (lower purity)

Several folks on here have commented there welding cable has corroded, this will cause a voltage loss and as a result a loss in SPL and eventually SQ. So yes, the power cable if not up to par will cause SPL issues. Tinned OFC cable is considered Marine Grade, could you image the mess you'd have with welding wire in a Boat...

As for our lack of 1/0 in stock, the KLM sold out due to its popularity and the Kolossus due to the fact we are opening a South Africa Office and have shipped its first production leaving us a bit short. We'll be back at full capacity in about 10 days.

you'll have to explain this loss of sq too me. i've had this welding supply wire in my car for 2 years now, in michigan climate and have yet to experience voltage drop.

You said " and that does what give you better sq or more spl?" I said "Better SQ? (I'll add a ? like there should be there to emphasize the sarctistic comment for you.) lol.. This is power wire, not speaker wire" in response to what you said in the above quote. I was being sarcastic to you. Yeesh.

I didn't say anything about SQ execpt in responding to you so I dunno where you are trying to go with this.... But if Bill says there can be an affect then enjoy your welding cable. heh.

i'm still waiting for him to explain the loss of sq too me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Loss of SQ would only be from loss of voltage, power supply needs to work harder to maintain proper voltage to amps output section, can cause a strain in the amp. I'm not talking about night/day difference in SQ but subtle changes. With the crowd here, most would go unnoticed because the SPL would drown it out......lol

Personal contacts, yeah right. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif This one little lie is going to snow ball now. I remember the last group buy that I saw came out to $2.92 per ft shipped, not under $2 like you stated. The cheapest I have seen it offered for in the classifieds is $2.75 per ft plus shipping.

Where's your new distro block Bill? Thought you would of had it up by now.

Group buy just ended on RoE for $125-130 a roll... That is $2.50 a ft... I bought 50ft from the classifieds for just over $2/ft shipped.. I'd have to look in my paypal to see what exactly I paid.. If you look around you can get a deal. They do come along.
