Where should I mount the distro block and the crossovers?

1) Where should I mount the distribution block? Closer to the batter or closer to the amps? I'm thinking closer to the amps to save wires, but wouldn't mounting closer to the battery provide less resistance?

2) Where should I mount the Xovers? I've read that mounting the Xovers closer to the speakers will be optimal in reducing noise. Will I have issues if I mounted the Xovers on the enclosures which will be located right behind my seats (I have a two-seater)?

Thanks guys.

i have mine on my door. i did some rather f-ed up work, so im going to get new door panels and do a stealth install. i did all this when i had my first CDT comp, so i thought i was cool and wanted to show them off. now it just looks dumb. these are my eclipse SC6500's in a haggard ass install lol. they sound crisp tho, very amazing output. barely any bass response due to alot of air leaks

Th D blocks are better closer to the amps if you have a large main wire (1/0) and tap off 4 or 8 guage from there. You can do what you want with your D blocks for show, but honestly it works just as good to hide them.

As far as crossovers go, it doesn't matter. Noise will not be a problem because it is high level, and will not be easily effected by noise. I put my xovers in the back, and I have no problems with noise.

Go active.

Then you won't need crossovers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Thanks for your advice. I just wanted to know if there is an ideal place to mount these suckers.

I don't have any intentions of putting together a system for "show." If anything, I'd like to hide everything to keep the OEM look. Thanks again.
