Where do you get shorter belts?

Im on my second excessive amperage alt. the first was squeaking (didnt sound like a belt squeak). Now i got the second in and its recently started squeaking. before i go and replace it a 3rd time, id like to try getting a shorter belt, but i have no idea where to get em. i asked at pepboys and the guy basically told me they dont make em...

well i suppose theyd probably have one in stock that i could compare with. so what should i do? calculate the difference in circumference between the pullies (C=2*PI*r) and subtract it from the stock belt's length?

take your stock measurement...(from napa's computer) and tell them you need the next size up...they'll be able to find it....if its squeaking then thats not a short belt its too long or stretched out GENERALLY

no, the stock pulley is larger than the EA pulley so i need a shorter belt. also, the belt i got on now is brand new :/

Any parts guy who knows his shit can figure out the length from the part number. They all reference the length and number of ribs in the PN. Find out the stock replacement belt number and PM me, I will help you find what you need.

No shit I mean get me any gates # 6 rib example 25-060-625 I think that is 62 inch 6 rib

I mean get me the year and type of car and ill get the oem length and subtract however many inches you need...
