Where do you buy a subsonic filter?

Im planning to port a sub to ~32 Hz. My amp's built in subsonic (infrasonic?) filter only has 2 choices, 15 and 35 Hz. I cant seem to find a filter for sale anywhere on the net. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Depending on the sub and the enclosure, you may not even need one. For example, I had 2 Assassin 8s in .6 cf each tuned to 38Hz. No SSF and no problems. Just because you are running a ported box don't think that a SSF is required.

ohh ok. From what ive been reading, i was under the impression that the driver could be damaged below the port frequency. Im planning on porting a 15" Fi Q and running it on a Kenwood KAC X812D. So how do you know if you need the filter? Try it out and see how it performs?

Or just use the one you have now.The 15 setting should be fine unless you have a higher tuning then I would switch to the 35.

Ok, i plan to tune somewhere between 30 and 33 hz, mainly because Fi recomends between 28 and 33. I mostly listen to rock so i was thinking around 32 would be good. So if i set the amp at the 15 Hz setting, its no going to start to roll off till 15. Technically, i could damage the sub between 32 and 15 Hz if i port to 32 Hz correct?

you will be fine without one...

Actually with it set to 15 it will begin to roll off around 30 and be 3 dB down at 15.
