where do everyone work?

Your cousin is getting ***** then.
I started out at $9.50hr for an unloader. After 90 days, .55 more. Busted my *** and have gotten 2 merit raises at .50 each, and when i moved to cashier, another .20, and just got my 2 year eval, and got .55.
wal-mart is not the same chain wide. cost of living in particular areas factors in heavy. I actually used to be an assistant store manager at a supercenter.

When I applied for Walmart last summer, they were going to make me a nite stocker making 7.25per hour. That was the base for most of there employees unless you where in managment.

Also seeing you are from NY, I am pretty sure your cost of living isnt much higher than ours. At least that is what my Aunt says in High Falls ny. We almost moved there. So I just dont see how they could be starting you off that high. That and you dont make 12/hr, according to your numbers, it is 11.30/hr. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Actually, its $11.80, nice addition skills, im sure you will go far in the working world.

I started just as the unions were trying to push into wal-mart, so they offered a new pay scale, and i got a raise between the time i was hired (was hired at $9, but when i started, they told us that we were getting more to discourage any union pressures)

What i did was FAR from easy. Unloading GM freight is one of the most rediclous jobs in the place (im sure if the guy that said he was a manager would agree if he ever did it). Imagine 2-3 53' semi's loaded with loose freight/some pallets that you have to unload, sort, palatize, and then deliver to the department. I hurt myself trying to get a 2600lb pallet of salt softner that was stuck, and shattered a piece of cartilage in my rotator cup.

$11.80 = $12 dont be a complete f*cking moron...and how the f*ck did you plan on getting a 2600lb pallet of salt loose:confused:
No, the other guy told my it added up to $11.30, but he clearly doesnt know how to add.

We have pallet jacks, and i had done it before (anyone looking to loose a little weight, this is a GREAT job. I think i lost like 40lbs the first few months i worked there)

It sucked though, i just heard a really loud pop and crack, and my shoulder started getting really hot. They sent me home for the night, and the next morning i told them i wanted it checked out, went to the hospital, and they said oh, no biggie, its only a strained muscle, should be better in 3-5 days.

Here it is almost a year later, been throught weeks of physical therapy, and now awaiting additional MRI's and surgery (it got really bad at one point, and the doctor took me out of work for a month paid, that was nice)

Actually I didnt add what I thought you said wrong. I just read it wrong about you getting two merit raises at 50 cents. So I didnt add wrong, just read wrong, get it right.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Also, it still dosent = 12 bucks meatcock!

I am the stupid one for you so calling me not knowing how to add, yet you try to move 2600 pounds of salt and tear a muscle. Learn how to lift. Or better yet, maybe, just maybe you should add up 2600 lbs and figure well shit that is too much for me to move. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I said ALMOST $12....again....reading comprehension is not your strong suit is it?

I had move pllets just as big, and bigger on a daily basis. It just so happened that it was stuck, and thinking that i could get it out, was not so smart, but when i look back at it, my work load has dropped drasticaly, and my pay has gone up since then, so even thought it hurt, it worked out pretty good for me

I dont know, just popped out, like the muscle in that guys shoulder, lol! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
