Where did you guys learn how to install car audio?

You've got a long ways to go man lol. Just read up a lot, and do trial and error. Take your time etc..

You need to start off by learning what a fuse is, and what it does lol. I hope you learned that since I bought your amp from you.

I still gotta show you my system sometime. I've just been pretty busy lately, especially with sadies this weekend.

I've learned a lot just from reading other peoples mistakes, and how other people installed stuff.

Ive always been handy and worked on my own cars so it was mainly just reading on here and talking to freinds on what you need to do.... Pretty much learn on your own but always ask for help when you need it...

I honestly dont know where i learned. when i bought my first system 10 or so years ago, i just kinda hooked it up. i just figured it was common sense, connect pos+ on the battery to pos+ on amp, and neg- to a ground like the other ones on the car. rem on the stereo, well with that i figured i would connect that with the rem on the amp for good measure. and those holes for rca's, well i just kinda assumed that the red one on the amp that said input went to the red output on my hu, and vise versa with the other color. then you know how tricky it can be matching up the speaker pos+ on the amp with the speaker + on the speaker. and then the neg- on the amp to the neg- on the speaker. it was a heck of an ordeal but i got through it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

well, the first thing I did was install a radio. My original radio went out, I bought one over e-bay and had it installed $70. A couple of weeks later, some idiot breaks into my car, I have a Craftsman 19.2volt cordless drill with 2 batteries and a charger sitting on the front passenger seat. does he take that? NO, the fool pops the faceplate off my radio and takes it. Well I paid $120 for the radio and a new faceplate is $70. So instead, I go back to ebay again, and buy another radio. Then I get to thinking...how hard can it be? Plus I can save $70. So I pull the old radio, and look at how its wired, i read the instructions on the new radio...sure enough....color to color. I hook it up, push it in the dash, turn on the key, and wow I have tunes again.

Since then I decided to add bass to my car, I bought an amp, two subs(already wired up in a box), wire, and the install kit . read the instructions. did what they said, with one exception, I put a switch in my console for turning the remote wire on and off...sure enough, everything worked fine.

Since then, I have learned a lot from http://www.ecoustics.com and here, people at both places are very helpful

http://www.bcae1.com very good website. Learn a great amount from there
x2

Your first step should be to learn everything that is on that site. I am not even close to being an "expert" but the things on that site are something that every one that is working with 12 volt electronics should know.

I notice you are in Las Vegas. So am I. hmmmm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/ponder.gif.ec2527b23f1d287b60dcbba54f95edba.gif

I learned 100% on my own, with help from Car audio forums on Nasioc.com and here, and of course bcae1.com helped ALOT on explaining things, but the math was over my head haha.

My first system was an X-plod head unit, with an X-plod hex, using a LOC off of the stock Subaru unit....haha. Even my current system looks ugly because I don't have everything for it, so I'm waiting for everything to make the amp and box fit the trunk right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

But reading and researching ALOT FTW
