Whcih amp or amps?

I have been out of the car audio scene for a few years, back when fosgate was the bad boys on the block with the Punch 200. I am rebuilding an SQ setup and am looking for an amp. It will be running MB Quart 6.5 comps and a Stryke AV12(dual 2ohm VC). I was looking at PPI PCX-4125, SS Tarantula 500/4, or a nice class D and keep my Punch 75 for the comps. What are the new top-end bad boy companies? I have a factory alt., but I am considering an upgrade, and I have a 1 farad cap laying around. If only my 225 had not been "misplaced", I would just run my old stuff. Any advice or suggestions would be great.

with a upgraded alternator u wont need the cap. Amps make no difference in SQ of the system. Any decent amp that puts out the power it says it does will be good. If u can find ur old rockford amps id definetly use those since rockford these days is nothing like they used to be.

Very nice sub choice, id go with the tarantula if you got the money. They just look so sick.
