whats your system's average lifespan?

i have not had a stable system for more than 1 month in the past year. hopefully this system i have right now (in the sig) will at least last a couple of months. haha. i foresee a change during the summer though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

I honestly was changing my stuff every 2-4weeks for the most part, the only items I can say I ever held on to for along time was some jl 12w6v2's other then that everything was getting replaced left and right because I was never happy.

And if you still dont believe me look at the refs I have to prove it lol

Took me about 6-7 months of swapping subs, boxes and amps to find the sound I was looking for. The HU was the last change a couple a weeks ago. Now I think I have it to my likings. I must say it is sounding pretty sweet.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif My wife just laughs and says, yea right you will be changing something in a month or so. What really sucks is she probably right.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif D*mn women. At least shes cool about it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Later.......

i'm usually good on my setups, i'll keep the same setup for about 6-8 months, then i usually find time to change something. I recently got a completely new setup, the only thing i have changed was the box, since trigger put the idea of a box tuned at 27hz in my head

Well the current install I have has been the same for over a year now, just in different cars. Funny how much better it sounds in the Focus, compared to my cavalier, same shit, just different car. Before that though I used to change shit around every 3-4 months, like amps, subs, highs and shit like that. I have learned to like what I have now, lol!

My buddy has an older GMC s-15 and is a POS, but has one of the cleanist sounding systems I have ever heard and is all old school shit. Most of the stuff is like 9 years old. Has an older clarion tape deck with a pioneer 12 disc cd changer, all Pioneer coxials and 2 sets of pioneer componets, 2 cheap *** pioneer amps for his highs, 4 10" Orion XTR's, Mmats amp on bass, and a all crossoved by acoustic 3-way xover. Never has blown anything and let me tell you what, I really wish everyone on this board could hear it. Truely amazing sound. No speical custom install, pretty basic. It just sounds really, really good for some reason.

i have had 2 setups (neither lasted more than a year) cuz 1 got jacked/other i fried.

so now i'm moving on to systems, 3, 4 and 5 (possibly 6). lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif i'm still buying/trading equipment for stuff that i need/want and i'm still waiting on amps to come in. even without a system right now i'm still changing my shit up. lawl!
