What's your opinion?

Do you need HD Radio? The only reason that Pioneer costs so much is because of the HD. Here's a Kenwood for $110; 3 sets of 2V preouts, 24bit DAC, high pass and low pass filters, and a 3-band EQ. Of course it's got front USB and aux as well.

Kenwood KDC-448U (KDC448U) In-Dash CD Stereo w Variable LCD Display

I'd choose that over the Pioneer. If you do need HD Radio, here's another Kenwood for slightly more:

Kenwood KDC-HD552U (KDCHD552U) In-Dash Car Stereo Receiver w/ HD

As for Pioneer, this one is almost the exact same as that HD Radio one, only much cheaper(it doesn't have HD Radio).

Pioneer DEH-3400UB (DEH3400UB) In-Dash CD/MP3 Car Stereo Receiver

Yea I want to keep the HD radio
Alright, well that head unit should definitely be fine for what you're looking to do, if you're just going to have two amps. Do you want components, or coaxial speakers for the front? Are you comfortable with modifying your vehicle to mount a tweeter? The extent of the modification depends on whether or not you had factory tweeters, and where you want to put them.

Worst advice possible.
OP, my advice is to get a new head unit, speakers for the doors, and an amp for them. If you plan on having a sub in your trunk, the rear speakers will sound horrible anyway.

What are the features you need in a head unit? Front auxiliary? Front USB? Or would you rather have that in the rear? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
I see my sarcasm went right over your head

I was letting the OP know that the first sentence of your post was horrible advice. You're right, I didn't catch the sarcasm. You should have used a smiley or something. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

i have factory speakers that are mounted on the door. Then whats the different between coaxial and components?
Coaxial is a woofer and tweeter mounted together, on the same axis.

In a component speaker set, the separate components are... separated, which means you'll have to mount them separately. These also come with standalone crossovers.

Not real sure but I'm thinking component so i can change the factory tweeters so should i go with the kickers and alpine that was mentioned earlier or do you have a better brand that i should look at.

You could always try to find a set of Phoenix Gold RSD6cs or 5cs depending on size you need.

If your car has tweeters, then you have a component set. Your car should have 6-1/2" speakers in the front doors, so you'll want to look for a 6-1/2" component set. Like I said, private message TallC, or create a wanting to buy classified ad. You can also look in the speaker review section on this site for more ideas. I would stay away from Alpine Type S and Kicker speakers at all costs.
Good and prefab are definitely not hand in hand. Answer my questions, and I'll be able to give you solid advice, unlike the others in the topic.

What kind of features do you need for the head unit? Auxiliary input? USB? Do you think you'll utilize an 5-7 band equalizer if you have one? You might be able to get some nice speakers from @Tallc here, if you're looking for components. With $600, you'd probably be able to get a nice head unit, 6-1/2" components for your fronts, and a nice amp. When I say nice, I mean quality. You don't want to get Audiopipe amps like most of the people here(on this site in general). Don't get $25 speakers because they're not going to sound good.
thanks for the shout out here.. OP shoot me a pm and i would be happy to discuss with you.. Im local to you, so that should help you out.. If i can get something done for i will for sure..
