Hello everyone I have a few questions. I'm new to the car audio community and recently I've purchased 3 12" kicker cvr's and a hifonics Brutus bxi1210D amplifier off of craigslist. The subs are in a sealed box and I haven't got around to take them out and seeing if they were dvc or svc also how they're wired. The amp is a one channel amp and the subs are rated for 400 rms 900 max, I was wondering if anyone could tell me and figure out how many watts are running to each sub, also how many ohms. I'm thinking they're at 400 watts to each sub and at 4 ohms. I'm really want to crank the bass boost because I want Alittle more punch but I don't want to risk blowing my subs. So if anyone has any regards to this please feel free and leave a comment, thank you

The 2 options you have is to either pull the subs out, or measure the impedence with a DMM. With the way you worded the post though, it sounds like you probably don't know how to set the amplifier gain either. In that case you need to do some research or take it to a shop.

The gain is set to what my headunit is which is 4 volts. Also I don't have a meter. Yeah I think I should just take it to a shop also.

Yep, take it to a shop. Your head unit might not be putting out a true 4V as advertised, and the gain on the amp goes from 9v-.2v with no other hash marks. Without a DMM you could never be sure you had it set right, and without a scope or a DD-1, you won't know if you are clipping.

You can take the suv out the box to see how it is wired. Google your amp to see the specs for each ohm load. To find out how many watts are going to ypur sub, take whatever ohm load your subs are wired to and what the specs say for that for your amp and divide by 3 since the power is split between 3 subs. Thats roughly how many watts are going to each sub if your amp does the rated watts it says it does.

just take it to a shop...

or take the time to unscrew see what the back of the magenet says as far as the ohm load of each coil and then you can see if they are dvc or not
