What's your fav car audio magazine???

I was at my friend's shop a couple days ago and he had some magazines called "Road Gear" or something like that, and I can't find anything about it online. But it was a magazine about car audio and it said it was directed towards the car audio professional. They had a lot of informative articles and good reviews.

Update: I found some info about it. It's called RoadGear magazine and it's made by Road & Track magazine. Here's a link https://www.neodata.com/hfm/crev/

Yea I get that one as well...

As far as marketing propaganda? all the mags sell pages to advertisers, period.
Yes, thank you for clearing that up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

That isn't what I was referring to.

They, for the most part, have done away with the informative articles and in-depth how-to's so they could fit more marketing BS into the magazines and cover more demo/celebrity vehicles. They are no longer about hobby, but about product exposure. Just another marketing engine and nothing more.

Back in the early 90s I always used to read "Car Stereo Review" it was the sister publication to "Stereo Review" which was for home of course. Since then I haven't paid much attention at all to car audio mags....they've gone down hill just like most of car audio has in general.

Wrong. Hugh Hefner is the FOUNDER of Playboy. I'd have to say AS&S was my fav until they changed it...Currently, I have no car audio mags subscription but have tons of back issues of AS&S...
ACTUALLY!!!

I am the founder of the playboy mag and the famous playboy mansion

I own the playboy game on PS2:naughty: lol

n e way i like car audio alittle while till the pages got less n less.

now i have a subscription to performance auto and sound.

they have stats of various competitors, great reviews, etc...

I think for $10 a subscription, u cant beat it!

Car Audio & Electronics;)

Have a whole box with past issues since they began in 1989. The mag was much more 'down to earth' then with MUCH bass and security. Now it is all 'high tech' with hardly no security. I just read it in the store and buy the annual yearly Directory in June.

I stopped w/ ca&e when every install was a pimp-my-ride how many tv's can you cram in a car job.
Yeah, I agree with that. Don't get me wrong I do like to see the big dollar installs but I also like the "down to earth" affordable installs that are done by everyday kind of people.
