i just subscribed to caraudio and electronics and was kinda dissapointed on how short it was, but i got the subscription off ebay for like $6

Not really impressed by most of them.

They've went from being informative periodicals to mass marketing propoganda.

for the first time i actually bought the car audio and electronics. I usually just browse them in stores or supermarkets. but **** i am very dissapointed in what they provide in the magazine. They are showing off sony and audiobahns in the magazine and really try to interest beginners in thinking these subs are the shiz. Why cant the magazine shed some light on the subs out there that needs some advertising. Type R, XXX, RE, etc...

Car audio mag a long long time ago used to have very good write ups and awesome cars. I have one where they first introduced the Deq p9 and Dex combo and also has 4 subs to compare, I believe it's the eclipse ti, crystal cmx2, and two others. Just in general, like 2 years ago there magazine, to me, was a lot better then what it is now.

Just my humble opinion.

they sometimes "show" those products but don't do write ups on them. I've seen scotties van in there a couple times.

I usually read the CA&E.....check out installs or whatever reviews/stories they have...

As far as marketing propaganda? all the mags sell pages to advertisers, period.

Well Alpine does enough marketing...but the others? Those companies perhaps dont send their products in to be evaluated.....maybe they have a reason?

Mobile Electronics, not to be confused with the on the Newstand version: Mobile Entertainment. Other than that 12Volt News although not a magazine per say still Very informative.
