I just got two 9515d subs. Anyways, one for sure is messed up cuz its making a sweet clicking noise or whatever. It doesnt do it if you only put slight volume on it, but much at all and it starts making that awesome sound. What the hell is it? It works fine other than the noise, i can push it down with no scratching noise or anything, everything appears to be straight and in tact such as the cone and surround and stuff so it doesnt seem as if it would be out of alignmnet, i think.. By the way the video makes it look like its moving alot more than it really was. Im definitly not putting too much power and its not bottoming out. I put it in a box and did the same thing.

Here is a video.

If its burnt up why does it play perfectly fine as if it is misaligned or something? It also doesnt have any smell like the coil was burnt up either. Kinda gay i free aired them before we traded and i didnt hear anything, cuz i didnt turn the volume up enough for it to make the noise.

MAN! thats how mine started out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i think there like 109 for the re-cone each... not bad IMO but then u gotta buy glue etc!

Son of a b*tch! Thats really gay.. Im afraid to rip it apart in fear of being able to fix it, which i think is prolly not even possible unless you take the thing apart anyways. I cant afford to get them reconed either.

who sold them to you?
A guy on the forum. Haha.. Im not going to say quite yet, but we met local and i free aired them. The thing is i didnt turn it up enough for it to make the noise which sucks. He said they worked great too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

So i guess im safe in saying there is nothing im doing wrong and this sub was fuked up when i got it?? What should i do now? I got a great deal, but i was told they worked great, i didnt want fuked up subs that id have to get fixed, i cant even afford to get them reconed right now.

contact the person you bought them from and let him know what is going on. If he does nothing to try and fix this problem then you can go public with his information. If your doing nothing wrong and you just tested this sub and its f*cking up before you even got a chance to run them they had to have been f*cked before you bought them and the seller has to do something about it if he said they were working fine. Good luck and i hope everything works out. i hate to see stuff like this happen
