if the pole piece is covered it can make some crazy noises.. put the sub on its side and see if that does anything...
Its hooked up to a stereo.. I have my kenwood reciever, and then a pioneer radio hooked up to the sub output so it has a crossover. Thats besides the fact, i tried it in the car also. Does the same exact thing.how are you playing that in your room?
Im not sure what to do with the situation tho, i mean what should i ask for? The deal is i traded my MINT dd 1508 subs plus cash for these. My subs were nearly brand new. I tested the subs free air on a small amp when we met up, i didnt turn the volume up enough to make the noise like i said. I never ran them, i dont even have an amp to power them. I only tested them free air, heard the noise, tried in a smaller box and the one sub still makes the noise. I havent had them long either, i got them and they sat in my room.contact the person you bought them from and let him know what is going on. If he does nothing to try and fix this problem then you can go public with his information. If your doing nothing wrong and you just tested this sub and its f*cking up before you even got a chance to run them they had to have been f*cked before you bought them and the seller has to do something about it if he said they were working fine. Good luck and i hope everything works out. i hate to see stuff like this happen
I did.. I tried it on its side also. Nothing. On another note, both subs seem to have a bit of air noise coming from the vents. Is that normal? I would assume once in the box you wont hear any of that noise but want to make sure.if the pole piece is covered it can make some crazy noises.. put the sub on its side and see if that does anything...
no, i dont think that is whats causing it, i was just curious to know how people do that. Its hooked up to a stereo.. I have my kenwood reciever, and then a pioneer radio hooked up to the sub output so it has a crossover. Thats besides the fact, i tried it in the car also. Does the same exact thing.
O ok, it works pretty good. A plate amp would be sweet to have tho.no, i dont think that is whats causing it, i was just curious to know how people do that.

My small town dont have a wal mart, nearest one is over half hour away ha.. Im gona try to get a dmm asap. I was going to ask you, did yours make the noise at any volume or only when you turned it up to a certain point?read the coils man.... they could be on there way out for sure! previous owner could have clipped the shit out of the subs thus heating the vc and burning it like mine was //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
