whats wrong with my XXX

Allright yesterday i get in my car, and as usal sub come on, but when it comes on it plas a solid tone and wont change the base line. i tried turning off my amp form my deck and also turning down the gain on ym deck but nothin worked. what the hell is going on? can someone please help me

its either the amp, head unit, or crossover (if you have one)

the woofer requires electrical input to make any noise.. therefore, there's where the problem will be..

unhook the RCA's from the amp, then turn the amp on... if the woofer is still making that noise.. you know its the amp.... if the noise stopped, then you're looking at possibly a ground loop, or faulty RCA output....

Its basic troubleshooting, everyone should learn this skill. What you are trying to is first address ALL possible problems, amp, deck, any other thing the signal goes through, then you want to isolate each piece of equipment to see if it is the culprit. So, to see if it is the deck, take it out of the path and use either a friends deck or, more easily, use a portable CD player with a mini-jack to RCA plug.

well i checked it out and as soon as i plugged teh remote turn on wire back in it started working fine. hopefuly this si teh end of my problems. thanks for teh advice guys. if this hapens again i knwo what to look for.
